Of the three set screws on the mechs I can find information on the following:
Thrust Bearing on the clutch (.002 end play)
Turntable Thrust Bearing (.003 to .007 play)
I can't find anything on the bearing for the motor shaft. How should this be set?

Ron, The one on the top of the motor with the set screw similar to the thrust bearing on the clutch. When I got this unit this bearing was cranked so tight nothing turned so I've had to guess where it's supposed to be set. Stephen

Stephen That housing and bearing screw is factory set at "zero" clearance. The way I saw it done in the factory, was with no motor installed the lady tightened the screw till it touched, compressing the felt packing, then backed off about 1/8 th turn ( Note--felt packing must touch the ball bearing-but not stick out of the screw enough to impead the bearing---cut felt as flush to bottom of screw as possible). She then checked it by "wiggling" it up down on the worm gear ( "--just enough movement to know it's not bound up--"), and turning it a few times. The motor is then installed and the coupler is correctly installed, as I describe in my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide". Ron Rich

Since I did not find it in this forum, I'd like to add both measures for the steel balls:
- smaller balls (clutch and turntable; Seeburg #250125): 0,187" = 3/16" = 4,762mm - larger ball (motor worm gear; Seeburg #245180): 0,25" = 1/4" = 6,35mm
Maybe it helps anyone.
