I have a Wurlitzer 1100 ,occasionally there will be a very loud amp hum when the tonearm comes down on the record , you can lift the tonearm up and the hum is still there, the only way to stop it is to hit the cancel play button. It doesn't do it but every 5th or 6th play. Any ideas? Thanks Larry

Hi Larry,
You gonna hafta do some detective work-- next time this happens, look at the amp--any tubes look "odd" ? Also try pulling out the input plug when this happens-- Humm stay or go away ? When was the last time this amp was properly serviced / WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THE MECHANISM WAS PROPERLY OILED ? Ron Rich
