Hello to all,
I need to repair a speaker connection in my w2100. Easy enough and should take about five minutes. However, in order to get to the speaker I need to drop and remove the Electric Selector Assembly. I have to confess that I have never gotten into the major mechanical components of the 2100. I’ve been told it’s easy. In fact, my Wur 2100 manual brags about how easy it is.
What I’d like to know is, what to look out for and what could go wrong. Here's the way I see it.
First, I plan to remove the junction box to give me a little more room. As to the Electric Selector Assembly, there are only 2 allen/thumb screws and two hex bolts holding the thing in place. Right? Plus, gravity is on my side when taking it out.
I have a #2 Phillips screw driver ready to center it when putting it back in place.
So… what to look out for, and what could go wrong???

Hi Bosco, Nothing ! Howsoever-- putting it back in, MAY be another story ! I have fought bitterly with them attempting to get the "inside" to fit onto the catches-- need a stronger back then what I have now--Rotza ruck ! Ron Rich

Hi, Rich. I knew it sounded too easy. Sorry if I sound dumb. I have a manual for the 2100, but it only describes the workings and names the parts. Nothing about troubling shooting, or replacing.
So... Catches. It sounds like they are near or around the allen screws. Like, I'm flat on my back, lifting the assembly up and fitting it into/onto the catches. So... the point of the catches is to hold the assembly while screws are set? Am I close to understanding? Give me a clue as to the location of the catches and I'll search them out tomorrow.
Thanks
