Hello. Wondered if anyone has experienced this problem and found a solution. I recently purchased a Wurlitzer Americana 3700 from some folks who said that sometimes it would play a record, sometimes it wouldn't. I can get it to play several records then sometimes it will start to play and you here a clicking sound inside that sounds like it's coming from the lower right side of the jukebox. Almost sounds like a relay. you can here it doing it some on certain records that will play through but sometimes you'll here it doing it a lot and the record will stop playing and reset itself. Just wondered if anyone has any idea what this might be and what the solution could be. I'm pretty good with mechanical and electrical things but just don't want to dive in without a little guidance. Appreciate anyone's help that can be given.

What, exactly is "stop playing and reset itself" ? Does the Turn Table (TT) stop ? Does it "cancel" the record ? If so, what happens next-- Do you have the Service Manual ? If not, see our FAQs section for a list of suppliers --- Ron Rich

What happens is like today for example. I turned it on and selected a record. The record would play for a few seconds then stop, put the record back and basically is in the position for when you play your next record. I then after waiting a few minutes got it to play 8 records in a row without a problem. Came back to it an hour later, selected a record. The record would load onto the turntable then it would be taken right off and put back in its place. The jukebox would reset itself ready for the next selection. If there is some kind of mode switch or position switch in this machine that's what seems to be needing some cleaning or something. I didn't get a manual with this jukebox but this appears to be a mechanical switch type of problem.

Please--READ "Hi Newbies" in our FAQs section--Please also read our "User Introduction" section. Sounds as if there is a small/intermittent, short on the "reject", or "cancel" terminals for the remote volume control-- Ron Rich
