Is it possible to service / lubricate the small animation motors? I'm working on a D-40, the motors seem noisier than I would expect.

Depends on the motor (brand)-- Some of them require 20 wt. oil be deposited onto the shaft as it exits the motor-- others have a felt oil wick there-- anyway, depending on the "amount" of "noise", it's probably time t change them --- Ron Rich

Thanks Ron, I don't recall seeing a felt wick, but I will check. Should the motors be nearly silent? I can definitely hear them in the next room if no music is playing.
