Is there an easy way to test the Wurlitzer carousel motor by applying voltage to the four terminal plugs from an external power source? I have used a 24VDC power source to test on older Rockola and AMI motors and have worked but not having success on this Wurlitzer that I was assured worked and was later tested on a 2200. I do get resistance so I think the windings are good. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rudy, One would need to look at the schematic-- Is it a "field coil", or "PM" type motor ? This will tell you how to add power, as needed. Ron Rich

Hi Ron.
Just got back to working on this Wurlitzer 2200. The motor is definitely a field coil motor. Like I said I have used a 24VDC power source to test on older Rockola and AMI motors successfully but not having success on this Wurlitzer motor that I was assured worked and was supposedly tested on another 2200. There are the standard 2 large pins and 2 small. Any ideas from this on how to test the motor outside of the jukebox?
Thanks!
Eric
