Well here's a minor update. Power supply arrived - and didn't do much. Still no sound. I did recheck the fuses on the top of the amp. They have continuity but they do look like they got hot. I replaced them with some new ones and I got a loud buzzing sound for about 10 seconds then the amp cut out again - new fuses look hot (but not blown. what's up with that?).
Looks like it's time to start recapping this amp.
Wish me luck!

How are you "checking" fuses ? Are you replacing them with the correct type and size ? Ron Rich

Yes sir. I've been visually checking them, then checking continuity. I replaced them with the correct type & size. the two on the top of my amp are 3A 32mm slow blows rated at 250Vac

There is no way to visually check a fuse unless you see that it has exploded--glass is black -- You must remove and check them with a meter, or batt. powered test lamp. If they blew ONCE, you have internal amp problems and should not power it until you locate-fix the problem. Ron Rich

I know everyone has been losing sleep awaiting my reply to this thread...drumroll please.....
I've finally got sound. Bad transistor on the amp and a good recapping. Some tone arm adjustments and now I have a working jukebox!
Thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure I'll have questions in the near (and probably far) future and I appreciate have this community to help me troubleshoot it.

Update here! After quite a bit of learning, tinkering, and oiling. I think I'm getting close to a fully functional jukebox! After disassembling and cleaning/oiling the gripper mech, this thing is moving MUCH smoother. I can make a selection, it'll find the record and grab it and take it to the turntable, but the gripper won't release the record onto the turntable. It just holds it there and then the mech CB trips after several seconds of it sitting there. Looking at the cam in the back, the dip never makes it to the #3 micro switch. I can hand turn the gripper motor the rest of the way (to get it to release the grip on the record) and move the tonearm all the way to the record). At that point, it operates as it should and and will return the record back to the magazine at the end of the record. I'm following along in my manual and the troubleshooting guide suggests checking the #14 15 ohm 10W resistor in the control box. Took the box out and tested the resistor and it reads 15ohms. That seems good. Anyone else have any ideas on what could be happening here? I'm thinking it's something in the control box. What did you do to get the read out arm moving? I have a 440 doing the exact same thing. Thanks.

This type of problem has cropped up before so you should be able to find information already on the forum - other than this thread where the OP to whom you addressed your question hasn't logged in since 2020! Don't forget to check out the "sticky" post of common 400 series issues and to follow the manual shem-a-grams to narrow down the issue.
