Hello. My 435 Princess Deluxe won't play any odd number (1,3,5,7,9) selections on bank G and H only. The buttons go down, and stay down while the write-in carriage assembly just spins and i have to kill the power to stop it. What I've checked so far is:
Cleaned all contact rivets/bands on both sides of write in/read out wheel with deoxit d5 and emory cloth. Also did the same to all pin sockets in plastic connectors located under the latch and lockbar switches, and every other plastic connector on the juke. (Multiple times, lol).
I checked for continuity from the G/H button wires from the button board to the plastic connectors screwed to the backboard of the unit, and all is good. Also adjusted the contacts on the button wafer board that the button interrupts when pressed.
I adjusted the latch and lock switches for proper sweep and gently cleaned them with a point file. Ditto for any other wipers or blades. The juke works stellar, except for g/h odd.
Not really sure what to check next, maybe I'll trace the G/H wires from the backboard to the wheel and hope for a cold solder or broken wire. Another strange thing is that once I depress any of the g/h odd numbers, the cancel solenoid won't engage when pressed (it does for any working ones). Any ideas of what to try next?
Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe, "Emery cloth"-- IMHO atza a "no-no" ! ANYTHING "stronger" then a pink pencil eraser, removes material from that ring--Yep, my bet would be on an open connection, somewhere ! Ron Rich

Found it! Indeed I needed to go 1 step lower, it was between the middle connector and the large cinch Jones connector. This was a beautiful malfunction because it forced me to learn this jukebox inside and out. I usually restore vintage pinball machines, so it wasn't far off from the methodology. Thanks to all that looked.
