So I am a lucky owner of a '64 Wurlitzer 2810, I just figured out with the help from another person how to fix an issue with the arms that bring the records up or down. Now I have another problem. It thinks there is a record on it is trying to play it. The tone arm doesn't move but the turntable is spinning. Is there switch broken or what?

Hi Grumpy, I had no idea that the 2800 series WurliTzers had a "brain"-- must have if it "thinks", a record is on it? Anyhow--Gottum the Service Manual, with all the schematics ? If so, look at the over-ride relay -- energized or not ? Where are the "arms" you "fixed" earlier--up, or down ? What position is the transfer switch in-- the mute/play switch ?? Ron Rich

Ok bad use of "thinks". The "arms" were the record changer arms, and after discussing this with someone else I was able to retract them to the below the carousel but the TT is still spinning. I have a Wurlitzer 2800 Manual but I still not confident with read electronic components. Currently I am away from my jukebox on a lunchbreak so I am trying to read and figure this out .

Hi Grumpy, No--- I was joking, because WurliTzer advertised in the early 1950's, that it had a "WurliMagic Brain"-- (which I have been tolt "--did not work well at all !!!). Ron Rich
