45 rpms snag on something ami cont 2

have a rather curious problem. looking behind the carousel all seems okay but sometimes when the carousel is revolving to make selection it will jump now don’t know if this is a causal or unrelated issue but on several times i have played a record that was broken on top and it’s always the side facing the back of the machine. going crazy on what could be snagging the record. any ideas friends?

It will be the gripper jaw. The transfer motor will either be stopping slightly too early or too late (gripper starting to close again) - adjustment of cam switch 3 required.
