Hi
All I lubricated 8 jukeboxes without incident. I then lubricated the Seeburg KD200 that I have had for about 15 years and it has never given me a problem. However, after I put it back together after lubricating it, I made a selection and the mech responded and selected the proper record and mounted it and then everything stopped. Nothing would move by hand. I cut the power off and then I removed the record that was mounted, tripped the and then I could move the mech by turning the motor coupling and the fly wheel. I have repeated this for both sides of the record, all with the same result.
This unit was playing fine until I lubricated it??? I went and got the manual, guess what no trouble shooting guide! Any ideas where to start looking for problems would be appreciated, please?
Also, on the KD when you use the scan switch how do you stop the mech from scanning, I do not see any button to push like my DSs have?
Best Darrell

Hi Darrell, What are you doin'n monkeying around with a model K on T-day ? Sounds as if you have lost the low half of the motor run cap--jump the "O" contacts with the motor off, then make a selection--if it now plays--attsa your problem ! As for the button--it's there --wanna borrow my eyeglasses ?

Hi Darrell, Right there on the same "housing" as the bat-handle switch ! I think it was a leaf switch on that model, with just a small ("pimple"-like)stem sticking through the housing-- If you can't find it, remove the assembly and you will see it-- Ron Rich

Hi Ron
Still looking for the small pimple to stop the mech from scanning. Also trying to figure out how to jump the "0" contacts (from what to what?) (jump the "O" contacts with the motor off)
Also, if the motor run cap checks bad, where could I get one? Patrick (Jukebox USA) nor Denny (Victor Glass) have any.
Best Darrell

Hi Darrell, Did you remove the service switch assembly ? If you do, you should see a leaf switch in that housing--and unless someone has removed it there will be a small "nylon push-button" sticking through the metal. I have motor caps in stock-- "O" contacts are the second set from the top, on that and most other mdels--blades 3 & 4. Just take a "jumper wire" with alligator clips on it and stick one end on blade 3, the other on blade 4--with the POWER OFF !!

Ron is correct (this gets boring after a while:-) ) The credit-scan-stop switch is a small set of blades with a "pimple" sticking out of the side of the service sw assembly.
Seeburg kept the same switch mounted separate from the keyboard for one more year before going to a better design mounted on the KBD.

Hi Ron This is embarrassing . While removing the screw from the side of the mech the screw went flying. I finished removing the cover and there was the screw hung up on the bracket by clamp arm bearings. I used a screw driver to move the screw from its location, it them disappeared and my wife and I spent at least an hour searching for that screw even using a magnet to get at places we could not see. Well tonight my friend Mark came over to see if he could figure out what I was missing. Mark was here about 10 minutes when he spotted the screw lodged behind the arm that stretches between the brake roller and brake lever bearing. He removed the screw, however to arm it was behind was bent. Mark bent the arm back into place and the KS now plays fine I now have completed lubricating all 14 juke boxes so my wife will not have to worry about the, although Mark will be there to take care of her. Next thing is the button, I finally found it, wow what a lousy place to put that button Have a great week and thanks for all the help. Best Darrell
