Hello all
Norman from Aberdeen kindly sent me a couple of levers as my read out assembly had one missing,
Managed to take it all apart and replace the lever and spring, BUT do you think i can put it back together!!, i have literally spent the past four hours trying to get all the levers to line through with the outer plates.
If anyone has had any success putting one of these back together and has any words of wisdom, I am all ears.
I need to go and check my blood pressure!!
Darren

Hi Darren, I have replaced levers (why I have a scrap selector unit) but I don't recall having any particular difficulty. I will have a look at the scrap one tomorrow to see if I can shed any light on your issue.
Norman.

Right Darren, Move all the selector pins to their outer position. Take the "lid" part of the selector assy and at the opposite side from the cables, feed a piece of string or wire through the fixing hole and tie it enough to secure it. With a small screwdriver (small jewellers' screwdriver is ideal) gently pry the selector pins through their appertures working both clockwise and anti-clockwise from where you fixed the tie. When you come to the next securing holes tie them off and work your way round. When you finish, replace the ties with the screws. Let us know how you get on.
Norman.

Hello Norman
I have managed to put it all back together but I had to totally dismantle everything, feeding through each lever and locking each one in turn. Your method sounds easier to be honest.
Thanks for your help Norman
Kind Regards
Darren
