Hi guys my volume control at the back of the unit just spins, it does not increase or decrease sound. There is a machine speaker pad control on the amp, it does increase and decrease the volume. Is this something that can be repaired or does it need a replacement, It does work because if i disconnect it no sound. pete

Hi Pete, My GUESS, would be that there is a powered remote control connected to that amp-- check to make sure the wires going from that VC, actually are the ones plugged into that amp--- Ron Rich

postimg.cc/gallery/SkZfzhQ Hi Ron i attached some a schematic and diagram showing the part and usage. There is definitely no remote connected to this unit, the wire plug from the VC runs up to the amp, if i disconnect that plug i have no sound. I can live without the volume because i have a control on the amp, but was wondering if this is defective am i loosing sound quality. pete

Firstly to show how the VC is connected, also to see what type it is , you may know if this can be rebuilt or must be replaced, lastly to see if there is an newer pot i can use to replace what i have. I have tried to find a replacement no luck. pete

Pete, This is a DRAWING of what is SUPPOSED to be there--This does not tell me if you have this part, or it is connected, as most RockOla's had an optional POWERED, volume control --which is what I suspect you have plugged into that amp ?? Ron Rich

No i have exactly the same as the second photo, all wiring the same, all resistors and caps match. the knob spins with no resistance, I tried to look into the double pot to see movement when i am turning but see nothing moving, can the volume rod disconnect? Just to confirm the amp has a volume connection, my volume control wire connects to it, if i disconnect the wire there is no more sound.

Hi Ron, i saw a replacement of the volume control on the Needles for jukebox web site, it states it works on models up to 437, I have written them for conformation but hope this will work pete

Pete, I dono the internal construction of that control-- you might be able to turn the rear control on it, with a screw-driver?? The one on needles will work-- you need not "write" to confirm it. Ron Rich
