Hi Ron,
Looking at the service manual I found what it terms a "Circuit breaker" underneath the carousel someplace but I'll be darned if I can find it. It is possible if that tripped (Looking at the schematic) it may cause what I'm seeing. I just can't find this silly thing nor am I even sure what it looks like. I will keep poking around.

Hi Chas, Dono what you are seeing as the fault-- but if it's that the basket is not turning, there is a CB on the left and side of the mech shelf-- on the "lip" of the shelf--red push button-- Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
The fault is just that select button works, the proper pin pops up, there is a quick spin of the mechanism under the basket (the basket itself never moves) and then a click, and nothing further happens. The basket never spins, the record never selects, the player never starts nothing.
That said I will look for the circuit breaker on the left and side, where I haven't looked, I was looking at the right where it kind of "appears" on the parts diagram blowup but it's so hard to tell. You'd think a red button would stick out :-)
What is the "mech shelf" exactly? Is that the shelf the basket sits on or is it underneath that?

Hi Ron,
Thanks I will take a look once I can get the jukebox open again. The lock will not disengage on the inside now so it is stuck shut. This is a comedy of errors at this point. No matter what I do I can't get it to open. I had this kind of thing happen before and if I squeezed the door shut it would free the key to unlock, however now key hits a point where it's stuck. If I push any further I will break the key. These things are worse than arcades.

Hi Ron, Some good news, I got the door open What had happened was the cross bar, that lifts the latch when you turn the key actually ended up on top of the latch rather than under it. I was able to snake a hanger and grab the latch and lift, but the cross bar was now blocking it from lifting all the way up, but some yanking and prying on the door and it popped open. To fix this what I did was set the tumble lock for a full half turn rotation rather than the quarter turn it was set to. This assures the "Rest" position of the cross bar is at the 6 o'clock position all the way down so it can never end up on top of the latch again. Yes you have to turn further to get it to open, but that doesn't matter to me. As for the breaker: This model doesn't have the breaker. Some did and some did not as I found out. So the breaker on the left hand side of the deck just is not there. I am not as crazy as I had feared after all. Now I will have to investigate why the top isn't doing anything. First thing I am going to do now is replace all the 122133 relays. I have lots so I'll see what happens then. -- Chad

Chad, Who/what, told you some "did not have" it ? Is the "hole" for it there ?? I have never seen one without it, or a fuse that someone placed there-- Is the solenoid there ? Is it being energized ? Can you move the basket by pushing the "handle"? Ron Rich
