I had a automatic reject issue on my sunfire , but thanks to Ron I changed out the diod in the amp behind the relay and that fixed the issue. But now I have no sound when the record is playing . Any ideas as to where to start looking?

That, on all phono's (except the U-100) models made after the LPC-1 would indicate no power to the amp/relay--usually either an un-plugged AC cord, or a blown main fuse. If the fuse--do not over fuse it ! Never replace it more then once without first finding out WHY it blew. Ron Rich

Hi Dude, Ainna no "contacts" on the mech concerned with audio ! Do you have a cartridge installed with good needles ? Did you just purchase this phono ? Did you try your amp in the other working phono ? Are there speakers in the base of the cabinet--connected, all the way to the amp--got a VC connected ? Ron Rich

I thought I read something in manual about mute contacts on mech , but nevermind , I did just buy phono not working of course. And I did try the amp at his house with no luck,I did check all wires to speakers and they were hooked up

I dono what "manual" you was a readin', as I wrote earlier, ALL mute functions on Seeburgs from the LPC-1 on ('sept the U-100's), are done at the amp. inside the relay. The relay is triggered by contacts on the mech--So, if the mute plug is out of the amp, you will get sound providing your amp is good and the SOS circuit is not triggered. If that's happening, you will get a second or two, of sound at the start of a record.

No I'm not getting sound for a second too , and looking back I was reading about the contacts that u are referring to on the mech that activate the relay , I will double check my work and everything u have told me and get back with you today, thanks

Grizzly, You gotta meter ? See if you have +32 volts (red wire on large filter cap to ground) and - 32 volts(brown wire, on large filter cap to ground) in your amplifier ?

Ron , I have checked everything you have mentioned , and still no sound , or reject, I did change diod behind the relay so now I'm not getting auto reject , but now I'm not getting any reject . Even when the record finishes the tone arm just lays there , I did find out that I have a dcc2 I'm my phono and a shp1 amp but from what a friend told me those are not standard in this model , does that matter ? I'm just trying to shed some light on this mystery any thoughts?

That's acceptable voltage--you just have a bad amp--One last test--remove the red and blue speaker wires --use a D or C cell battery --place the neg side of the battery on bare metal--tap the red and blue to it separately--if you hear the speakers pop, they are connected-- The DCC's are all interchangeable ( except the DCC-2 CODE A), but have no affect on audio.

Well , I tried what u said but I'm not getting anything with a c-battery , it's not new but I checked the battery with my meter and it is showing volts , I have a constant humming in lower speakers , should I do some digging in the crossover maybe?
