Hello There seems to be an issue with the carousel motor, when I put the machine into scan, it does nothing. I have replaced the micro switches, checked fuses and taken the motor out and re-soldered the wires just to be sure. I did replace the carbon brushes, I remember I could not source the same carbon brushes as the originals, so the ones I put into the motor have a longer spring which does put quite a bit of pressure on the carbon brushes upon against the motor spindle, could this be the problem? I remember it felt wrong at the time. I have also been informed that the rectifier in the power supply could be faulty so I have ordered a replacement bridge rectifier and also informed to clean the contacts on the play relay. Any thoughts would be appreciated. One frustrated jukebox newbie thats for sure it looks great now its refurbished but I have never had it playing. Regards Darren

Hi Darren. Did you check to see if the motor is getting "juice" ? First thing I'd do prior to replacing the rectium-fif-fer ! Brush springs could be a problem in the long run--but it's my opinion that the motor should run for awhile anyway, with these- can you cut the springs ? Did you read our FAQ's "contact", posts ? Hi Ron I probably could cut the springs, i will take another look at those, and i will be checking for "juice" today.
I like that "Juice", sounds much better than power.
Regards
Darren
