Hello, hopefully I don't have to replace the grey box for this issue. My USC2 is changing 6's to 3's when selecting. Certain ones work half the time, most switch and play the same wrong record. For example, if I select 106, it'll play 103; if I play 136, it'll play 133. The machine has not been cleaned, is it possible that cleaning the contacts could fix this issue? Before I cleaned some contacts in the number pad, it was giving me an error if I pressed a 1, now that issue is gone.
Also, can anyone tell me what the switches do on the back of the number pad? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Will

Hi Will, This appears to me to be a classic DES problem. You can use the quadribit table in your Service Manual to see your problem. If you dis-assembled the DES, did you re-assemble it as per my "MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide" ? If not, I spell out the factory procedure for cleaning/lubricating and re-assembly, (also re-printed the quadribit chart) in it. The rear switches are used for pricing any 33 rpm "album's" you may want to charge a premium to play. Ron Rich

Thanks for the help, I'll take a look at those guides and reply with (hopefully) good news!
