Hello
Finally got some positive moves on this box, although the turntable speed is to slow. I have checked the idler wheel is on the correct band on the motor to spin at 45rpm.
Any help would be appreciated, i would have thought that there would be a manual speed adjustment.
Kind Regards
Darren

Hi Darren,
How much is too slow? Please count the rpm per minute so we know what we talk about.
And is it even too slow or uneven, so cranky sound?
Check - if all is clean, not sticky and hardened grease/oil - the three grommets of the TT motor if they all are there and good (check also if the metal sleeves inside the TT rommets are there. They MUST to be there to avoid damage.) - if the rubber of the idler has enough grip - the idler wheel spring - no damage, lengthen, worn, etc. - the shaft of the TT motor - needs to run easy and free, no sideways play - bushings of the TT motor shaft if worn

Hello Hildegard and Ron
I am currently in the process of checking all of those listed, I have also removed the turntable motor to check inside is cleaned and lubricated, will let you know the outcome.
Thank you both.
Kind Regards
Darren

Hi Darren, Might also add--be sure the inside of the turntable (TT), where it contacts the idler wheel is clean & dry -- be sure the sliding idler wheel support moves freely -- and be sure that "no one" has "messed with" that spring ! (If so, IMHO, You are stuck to replace it with the CORRECT one!) Ron Rich

Hi all I have checked all the points mentioned and it still plays slow, replaced the idler wheel, new grommets, its clean and lubricated. I wonder if it could be something to do with the fact i have a transformer that allows UK voltage on a US machine, i have read that the frequency could be the problem.
Any thoughts on that as being the issue.
Kind Regards
Darren
