Hi Stephen, Is there something wrong with the Shure M44 cartridge that's (or should be) in your 477? The AT3600 should be OK because that site says it's suitable - but I might be worried about getting the geometry correct, mounting it in a Rock-Ola tone arm. I also don't know whether you were planning to ship that cartridge from the US but I would imagine that's going to work out expensive! If your M44 is good, then I would be sticking with it (if I were you)!
Norman.

Hi again Norman, Thanks for the reply, Its a M44MR, does that look like a genuine Shure or a rip off copy made to look like its genuine ?
Problem I've noticed lately is the left channel speakers are not putting out the same level of sound as the right channel speakers.
Obviously I've not had the juke from new ( but more than old enough, lol ) I have no idea as to the age of the cartridge/needle combination.
Thanks again
Stephen

Hi Stephen, The Shure M44 was originally fitted so you might expect yours to be the original cartrridge. Magnetic cartridges do not deteriorate with age although they can fail. You could try swapping channels at the input to the amp.; if the left channel stays low, you have an amplifier issue and if the low output switches to the right channel, you could try a new stylus.

Hi Norman,
I've done as you suggested, I did reverse the pick up plug and noted that the sound now coming from the right hand channel is lower than the left hand channel.
Would an option be to either adjust the input gain control for the left channel or adjust the channel balance control, not really knowing what either of these controls function is, "volume" I understand.

Hi Stephen, The procedures for adjusting these controls are covered in the manual and not really intended for "tinkering"! Although if you must tinker, the balance control would be a better option, I would suggest. Probaby a new stylus is required.

It might also be worth checking the wiring at the cartidge to make sure it's in order!
