Rock Ola 404 - issues with the write in carriage

This jukebox is nearly finished, the only issue I have left to fix is the write in carriage, basically when the selector buttons are pressed for the chosen a or b side, the carriage rotates and stops at the correct spot, BUT, the index solenoids appear not to be working. If i manually flick the wobble plate levers the read out carriage kicks in and everything works as it should, so I am left with the write in carriage index solenoids not functioning.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hi Darren,
The sequence for the selection lever operation is described in the manual on page 34 (sequence 5). It is initiated by contact (7) which is a contact of the stop relay which is energised in the previous sequence. Start by ensuring that the contacts of the stop relay are clean. You can refer to the "stickie" on contacts.

Darren I had a same issue and as Norman indicated, the contacts indeed need to be cleaned. Good luck hope it is a quick fix
