Hi guys ,one of my woofers is blown and the other seems quite brittle, i am currently looking for used replacements. I was wondering if anyone used new comparable units, If so which did you use for the 12s and for the 8s Pete

If the voice coil is gone, it will be more than a re-cone! For new, Jensens are probably as close as you're going to get to the originals, both 12" and 8" although they might be quite expensive in Canada? We have discussed this before so worth trawling through previous posts - you know the score, read, read, read!!

I agree i discussed this with Ron for my AY 160 and bought new Jensens because the speakers in the box were not originals. These are and i think there was a loose wire on the speaker i thought had a blown coil, when i tested it in with no wires connected the meter read 0 ohms, now i have it out and with a little movent on the rotted paper i get 12.8 ohm, so maybe re coneing is all i need.
