The box was working fine when I put it aside to work on another box. Now when it's powered up,it doesn't scan once and stop,it might move a small amount and then start the pickup record process.
It will do this right after home position before it gets to a good spot on carraige.
Occasionally I can get it to scan, but when I put it back to play/operate it starts picking up selesctions even when none is made. So I took the mech control off looking for bad solder joints. None.
I reset the plugs at the selector board and now I don't get 99 credits,or anything for that matter on selection window.
I did'y get the left plug in right and that could have caused more problems.
Yeap-it went bezerk just sitting there.
Any help is appreciated.

As has been said here a few times before, the first thing to check on that series of Rock-Ola is the 9.6VDC at the plug/socket on the front of the power supply (pink wire). This is explained in the manual and also how to adjust it. It normally fails high and nothing then seems to work. I have quite often found that the adjustment pot can be problematic at the 9.6V point - probably from sitting in the same position for years, but I have found that setting the voltage a little bit lower is OK (while you wait on a new pot!)

So I checked and adjusted the 9.6 output on pink wire.It was at 8.Did the test procedure in the manuel for mechanism with the 9.6 light on,others off,and I get nothing. No scan or play. Test procedure if mech doesn't rotate but turntable is moving then there could be other problems like play control relay, mech power board, but the turntable isn't turning either.
