Hello,
Spent the better part of a day working on and trying to get a 222 selection issue resolved and need some help. The jukebox was functioning normally before being put into storage. After sitting wrapped up for 8 mos in storage (they were building a new house) and being moved from storage to the new house, it now will not read a selection. It writes is as making any selection, the mechanism starts to scan, but scans twice and stops. The 2050 is good. the 12AX7 tests fine. I rebuilt the Pulse amp the same time I did the amp and the TSU1. The RCA plug, tip to shield measures 2.0 ohms.
I did the battery test and nothing! Nothing registered at all. I checked the fine wires on the tormat block and they were connected and moved up and down freely. The only thing I did not do that I wish I had, was check the detent switch.
If I manually trip the mechanism the sound quality is great, everything else is working. All the check point voltages read within spec. I did notice that the movable contacts on the tormat block looked flat, like someone had filed them down, but with a VOM they had good continuity.
What am I missing? I feel like it is going to be something simple, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.
Thanks for your ideas and suggestions. Rudy

Hi Rudy, Ron will have covered this type of issue many times so you can search the forum. You have to discover why the battery test isn't working and whether it's the pulse amp or read-out that's the issue - or maybe it's as simple as poor connection on the RCA plug. Have you got the 300V read-out voltage? Have you got a test lamp you could use to look at the read-out pulsing for example? You have to be able to narrow down the problem I'm afraid before getting down to the specifics.
Norman.
