Hello everyone As I am a total newbie in the world of Rock Ola Jukeboxes, I hope you can guide me into the right direction with my problem.
I recently inherited a Rock Ola 1454 Jukebox and now need some help getting it up and running again. I know it worked before, so it might be (hopefully) just a quick fix.
So when I turn the main power switch on, the Jukebox starts up as it should - lights turn on etc.
Then, when I drop in a coin and select a programm nothing else happens.
What works: The button to change the various program choices (bottom left of the jukebox) works.
When I open the front of the jukebox and flip the 'record load switch', the turntable and the collection of the vinyl records behind it are spinning.
I opened up the backside of the jukebox and saw that 4 of the amplifier (?) light bulps are burning and one is not.
Where do I start with the troubleshooting and if I'd need parts, where can I get them?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and time.

The place to start is to get a more complete understanding of the jukebox components and how they work.
Obtaining a service manual would be the preferred starting point.
Parts availability will depend on which parts are needed.

I agree with Marty, getting the service manual and schematic is a MUST to understand better how the jukebox works. It gives an idea of the sequences which follow one after the other to get a record being played and stored back finally. When you insert a coin, this should be recognized by and registered in the credit unit. Only then it will be possible to make a selection with the push buttons. No credit = no further reaction from the jukebox. The "light bulbs" on the amplifier are tubes. If they are faulty there will be no sound. But the function in general (magazin and turntable rotating, motors etc.) are independant from that. The "Record Load Switch" is for loading the magazine with records. That the magazine spins in this mode shows that the magazine motor itself works. It is recommended to check all fuses for being ok - not just eye-inspection, they need to be tested with a multimeter for pass. Check as well if those installed have the right values. The values can be found on the units itself. Don't rely on the values on the fuses installed, they could be wrong. There is a long list where to look for parts: jukeboxaddicts.proboards.com/thread/6/parts-used-books-repairs-whereBut of course first you need to know what you need. And the service manual with schematic is what you should start with.
