How should a rock-ola 463 be modified for free play please? Reading around it seems by taking out the credit unit and removing a pin is that correct? If so, is that a complicated job? I can’t find a you tube video or website with instructions.

Not too complicated.I did it. You want the credit unit to have at least 1 credit, and adjust the subtract paw so when it is activated,it doesn't subtract your credit, but it still functions to close the switches. The subtract paw it what hits the gear to move it to do the subtraction. That needs to be disabled. I think (?) you can remove the spring and paw to do this. But make sure whe its activated it still closes switchs-or it won't work right

Thank you this is what I read on the internet for the Rock-Old 1448, and guessed would apply to my 463. I even found a photo of the subtract paw at this link: Rock-Ola Electric Credit Unit Free Play Instructions. But these instructions are not clear because others on the internet said its dangerous on some older models, and they recommend adding an external button, and how to remove the credit unit, and what you mean by “make sure when it is activated it still closes the switches” are not clear. I was wondering if anyone has a video or a step by step guide with pictures. I guess, however, it’s pretty niche!
