It's a delicate little snap acting switch, I would be surprised if you had success repairing it! 785-V7-1C17D8-207 is the Mouser part number for a Honeywell roller micro switch. Honeywell seem to refer to them as V7 switches (the Omron one that I have here is marked V4). Bear in mind also that if you are getting a used one from a Rock-Ola, it's going to be at least sixty years old. That Honeywell switch is only going to set you back a few dollars! Norman. Thanks for the info Norman. I haven't looked at the switch but I assume it's a dual tab, soo would I solder both wires to one tab and use a wire to ground on the selection wheel from the other tab? As for the JB Weld, first step is complete and hopefully will hold once it's set. I plan on flipping it over and addin a second layer to the other side of the arms. I was really surprised I managed to get the rubber band to hold it secure before I started. I know I need conductivity so relly trying to keep the epoxy out of the breaks. tinypic.host/image/switch-repair.HE9J2Second stage complete, need to let it sit overnight then I have to figure out how to get that tiny spring connected. Then I'll be able to tell if it opens or closes when activated. tinypic.host/image/switch-repair-part-2.HEyRU

The Honeywell switch is a changeover switch so one of the tabs would not be connected. If you decide to go for it, I can tell you exactly how to connect it. When you first posted pictures, I thought that maybe it might have been possible to repair your switch. Having removed the switch from my scap mech. and examined its operation, I'm much more dubious because it's quite a delicate switch and the broken switch blade, I suspect, flexes at the break point. Anyway, best of luck with your repair!

OK, well it's successful, as for longevity? I also know that when the switch activates it breaks contact between the center layer which has the wires soldered to it and the lower layer which goes to ground through the bolts and bracket I assume. What's puzzling me is looking at that pic I posted of the switch from the internet, the two pads on the side are separated where it appears that mine have been bent and soldered together. I have a couple of things on the go ATM renovating a bathroom upstairs but with luck, I can get this back in before the weekend is through and see if it works. tinypic.host/image/switch-fixed.H1knz

Yes it does look like your switch may have been linked out - although if that is the case, the play control relay should stay energised! The switch that I have only has a tab at the back with the two wires attached and a tab at the side linked to ground. And having looked at your pictures again, I can see that the switch blade that I thought was broken is not - so maybe your repair might be OK!

So far so good, it seems to be working properly.
Now, I think only one side of the speakers are working? If I turn the balance to the right nothing comes out.

There are a raft of things which could be the cause of the silent channel but one easy first test would be to flick the switch on the amp to mono to see if that makes a difference. The mono switch shorts out the balance pot so it would be ears to the speakers to check!

Hey guys, didn't have much time lately and got myself frustrated with this old machine. We also have an old 70's Bally soccer pinball machine. They're great but can be a PITA. We also have a home built in the 1890's and as I said I was working in the upstairs bathroom. As per the norm, trying to renovate, I end up either with a surprise or breaking something. This time the latter, and have been dealing with that this week. As for the Rock-Ola, I have already tried the stereo switch that's not the issue and typical me... Having a problem with a single selection that didn't seem to want to play I kept selecting it. Up until the last time, the selector wheel would make a couple of passes then quit and reset the selection buttons. Not the last time. then it ended with a loud humming so I switched everything off. Now the buttons don't work, I assume they haven't been reset but just haven't had the time or inkling to have a look.

Ok, a bit of an update. After being unplugged for a week and hitting the cancel switch I can use the machine again. All four speakers are working now. I think twisting knobs and flipping switches cleaned up some contact somewhere. This thing probably does need a good cleaning. So the only thing now is it seems to be having some issues with the selection wheel. This seems (not sure) to have started after fixing that switch. Now it can make 2-3 + rotations before finding the song and initiating the record carousel. Sometimes it just stops and other it will lock up the whole system. The majority of the time it works although it can take some time.
