Norman I double checked the mini grabbers I was using and I believe that did not have good contact. I retested again, shorting D11 to K1 and the 1 did indeed come up. Shorting D10 to K1 made the 2 come up as well.

Well that's progress! So the issue is definitely with the pushbuttons - wiring, diodes or the buttons themselves. You would suspect the K1 line since it's common to both the 1 and the 2.

Yes progress with your help! Thank you. The issue is is that even with the 1 or 2 showing for the first number, still no other numbers or reset button will register. The other numbers do show if jumped as we previously did for the 1 and 2. So the fault is something common to all I would say. I did jump to the input side of IC709 to make it sure it was not an issue and it proved good by showing the appropriate number when tested

It's a strange one! I don't remember how accessible the keyboard is but there are three D lines going there - is it possible to check for D pulses at the pushbuttons?

See photos—Am I testing this correctly? the schematic shows data lines D10 D11 and D12, yellow, orange, brown wires (I dont have a brown, more like a shade of blue green) Testing the yellow wire at keyboard switch “0” shows only high with no pulsing (if I am doing this correctly, which I may not be lol)

I don't see anything obviously wrong and you've seen pulsing before using your probe, haven't you? And the fact that you're not seeing pulsing there is also not really a surprise. Are you able to check whether you can see pulses leaving the profit setter connector, it's the same colour wires?

Norman-problem solved. I was suspect of the connector since no keys worked and sure enough it was installed incorrectly (upside down). I had not noticed the notches were not seated on the female side of the connectors since I was going off of the "wire memory"....meaning the way the wires were bent over time in the wire harness. I had to bend them substantially at an angle they were not accustomed to to get it to seat correctly. This leads me to believe it had been that way for a long while...... So a simple/stupid mistake but glad it was an easy fix. Now the keyboard/and profit setter are working as they should. Thanks for your time helping me.
Now I have to tackle the gripper arm not picking up the record correctly at the end of a selection. It raises a half inch and misses the record, before the arm squeezes together. I would suspect this is from old lubrication....however it did work fine up until yesterday.
Also I only have one side of speakers working. I suspect this is from cold solder joints or out of spec caps in the amplifier that should be addressed......
