Thanks again with all of your input. Yeah someone else told me if i went back to the original i would have to go back to original needle & cartridge. I did change out the speakers to all 8 ohm speakers. I will stay with what i have. It does sound good, maybe try different brand of speakers in the future. I wish i was knowledgeable enough to do that muting circuit like you said.

If you swop over the two wires going to one (just one) of the 12" speakers, does that increase the bass?

I got a 545 amp & sent it out to be rebuilt. My question now is: I have a magnetic cartridge in my 2710 jukebox now with the shure n44c needle. Will i have to go back to the ceramic SONOTONE cartridge or will it play alright with the tube amp and magnetic cartridge? The current amp is a modern 40 watt pa amplifier.

The M44C will not successfully work with the 545 amplifier. My opinion - note this is purely my take - is that you should stick with the Shure for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it's a much superior cartridge and will provide better fidelity and secondly, to retrofit a Sonotone requires finding a good one and reversing any "butchery" carried out in the fitting of the M44 including balancing and setting up and the extent of that is unknown!
To use the M44 with the 545 amp will require fitting an intermediate pre-amp. Search ebay for Prozor phono pre amp, you would need something like that (I have just used the Prozor as an example) but make sure that it has an output level control because you need that to match the output level to the input of the 545 amp.
All of the audio chain in your jukebox has been replaced so you may have more "butchery" to contend with!
Norman.

Thank you for your help. Never thought about the difference of the balance between the two cartridges.I did locate a sonotone cartridge from one of the vendors mentioned on your new updated parts supplier list. First i have to see if my amp is worth rebuilding & go from there.

I have been looking for a amp for my Wurlitzer 2710 jukebox. Original was a 544 amp. A guy emailed me & said he has a 545a amp. My question is, did Wurlitzer make a 545a amp?
