Thanks Norman for your quick reply. But I have one more question? Will this Chinese cartridge with adapter fit me if I have a SONOTONE 9-T stylus installed? I bought one Sonotone stylus in an arcade shop in Holland and the other one I got new in a box bought 30 years ago. Unfortunately the one from Holland and the one that was in the box for 30 years play the same. If you can, send me a link to this Chinese cartridge so I don't mix anything up. Is putting this adapter on the arm and connecting the wires to the cartridge so easy that anyone can do it? Best regards, Jachu.
I ordered both the ceramic cartridge and the adapter. I am waiting for delivery from the UK.

So here it is: They sent a ceramic cartridge and an adapter to the set. Additionally, I ordered pins so as not to solder the wires to the needle. I had to make some modifications to the adapter because its mounting is too thick and the needle protruded too far, so I filed down the adapter mounting to a minimum. Additionally, the mountings in the adapter are square and did not want to fit into the semi-circular mountings in the gramophone arm. After installation, 3 observations: 1. The problem with the booming bass disappeared and even in one channel I had to turn the bass to the second position, and in the second channel to the third position. 2. The music plays beautifully, unfortunately the vocals no longer exist. When the performer sings, it is as if he was very far away and quiet. 3. When the needle touches the record, you can hear a sort of humming sound, when there is a loud part of the song, you can't hear it, but when the song changes to a quiet part, you can hear it and quite loudly.
I have one more question: what is the size of the Allen key for "Fig. 78. TONE ARM LATCH LEVER ADJUSTMENT item no. 5. (from the user manual)". I would be happy to order this size of key. I have to adjust it because the brush gets stuck slightly when it returns.

It seems like progress? I can't understand why the vocals are poor, might one channel be phase reversed (that would also curtail the bass)? Try reversing the connections to one of the 12" loudspeakers and see if that helps in any way? I'm sorry, I don't know the size of the Allen Key but it will be an imperial size (not metric). I just keep a box of small Allen Keys and rake around when I need one. You could always buy a set of small imperial Allen Keys?
Norman.

Thank you Norman for your reply. When it comes to the sound of the music, it's a 100% success, but the vocals are strangely weak. Tomorrow maybe I will be able to swap the phases in the 12-inch speakers.
