Currently working on a LPC-1 and got the amp going after a cap kit. All is well except out of the four speakers, the 1 12” woofer on the right door is not doing anything. I swapped the outputs and the speakers and the problem persists on that side. The upper speaker works fine but only the woofer on that door does not move. Both 12” speakers ohm out at around 15ohms which is ok with the 16ohm specification I believe. I am suspecting something is wrong with the “Stereo Network SN-5” since both channels of the amp appear to be working. The caps in the stereo network look original, would the next move be to replace those caps(25mfd 25 volt)? Both of the coil looking things have 1.4ohms of resistance, and the resistors test in spec. I’ve also testing the wiring with a multi meter and everything is connected.

The connector on the stereo network plug-in ended up being messed up

How can the sound be muffled but tinny at the same time? I’m thinking maybe the weight on the stylus is too much? I’ve messed with the switches on the amp but it still produces the same sound. It sounds like a worn out record even on mine that are in excellent condition. I am getting some motor hum through the speakers, but taking apart and oiling the mechanism is coming up on my list of things.

Are you getting this muffled tinny sound from both channels?
These machines are sensitive to worn needles.
