Hi all,
I have a SHP3 code C amp from an HLPC-1 here, and I'd like to mount it in my SS160 for two reasons: one, I'd like to be able to run some higher powered remote speakers. Two, I'd like to free up the TSA5 amp that's in it now so that I can use it on my U100. As I'm upgrading the tone arm to the later style with the Pickering cartridge, this later amp should work better with the gain levels of the later cart.
The only pitfall I can see with using the SHP3 in the SS160 is with the need for an external volume control, which I have. What else might I be missing?
