I have voltage at the pink wire on the profit setter and the display/keyboard.

Maybe you should just leave it until your ICs arrive, rather than getting bogged down in "hypotheticals"! The voltage going high is what gives problems.

I agree, I think I will let it rest until the IC's show up. The voltage is alternating between 9.60 and 9.61 on my meter. Is that in the tolerance for reliable operation?

Absolutely fine. The voltage is adjusted by a potentiometer and when it goes flaky, the voltage drifts up to somewhere around 12V which stops the profit setter working.

I seem to be able to select anything I want. Wahoo.
Now I'm just unable to use the scan lever to rotate the magazine. This is likely just me doing something procedurally wrong, but I need to remove and relocate and clean some records.

The scan switch interfaces directly with the mech. power board and since the magazine motor functions OK from the control system, it can't be much other than the switch itself, bad connection, broken wire or something like that!

Thanks so much. I'll get my meter back out.
