Good morning all, I am currently working on a Rock-Ola 440 that's giving me problems. The Jukebox powers up, and when I make a selection the write in arm spins, then the current limiting bulb flashes and then nothing. Note: this happens with A, B, C, D selections, anything beyond that the write in arm continuously spins. I also measured the write in Solenoid coil and it reads 27 ohms, shouldn't it be closer to 60 ohms?
Parts replaced so far:
Coin accumulator coil and the burnt 470 ohm resistor
I've also disassembled, cleaned and oiled the gripper arm assembly.
note: both the gripper arm motor, and the magazine motor works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On the face of it you would appear to have more than one problem, but maybe they're linked? Did you read the "sticky" post above on common problem on 400 series phonos and clean the write-in and read-out contact plates and rotating contacts shown on pages 14 and 15 of your manual? I don't usually pay a huge amount of attention to the resistance readings of coils unless they are zero or infinity but 27 ohms doesn't seem particularly unreasonable. Are there any visible signs of distress (like burning)?
Norman.
