Rob, You have my sincerest thanks! You fixed my amplifier! With the information in your post I was able to find the fault. The resistor and capacitor at pins 1 and 2 of the 6SL7 phase inverter that went to the 1st 6L6 were reversed. I found it right away when there was no signal at one of the grids of the 6L6's, after that it was just a matter of studying that part of the schematic and realizing what had happened. I'm not sure if it was my error or if I followed what was there because at some point someone clipped the resistor and resoldered it, I believe the coupling cap was replaced as well even though I believed the amp was untouched. At midnight this amp went from a PIA to a full rich sound. Thank you Ron, Ben and Rob for your guidance,

Mauro, Glad you found it--stuff like that can be a real test--I have a couple of solid state amps around here with some type of "people caused" problems--someday I may get back around to them--lol ! Ron Rich
