Hello All! I just recently purchased a Seeburg SS160 to restore, ive wanted a jukebox for years and jumped when i finally got the opportunity. Im a long time record collector and have worked on numerous turntables and stereos but nothing to this extent lol. Im hoping this will be the right place to get some questions answered.
My first issue is that what i assume would be the platter (please excuse my lack of proper terminology, again im new to jukes) spins but the piece (selector?) does not move back and forth on the tormat. The guy i bought it from said he tested it and it selected and picked up a record so im not sure if im missing a step. Once its on i push a letter/number but nothing happens. There is a coin mech wired in but not hooked up to the coin slot. Not sure if i have to bypass something first or if it should just engage when i make a selection. Any insight would be very helpful!

First and foremost, You need to un-plug your new phono, then you will need to go to our FAQ's section above and read Attn Newbies. Purchase/read the manuals. This will give you a basis to communicate in terms we all can understand, and probably offer some help. Ron Rich
