Its Saturday again! Time to fix. Now that the amp I was working on is behind me I'd like get my 1700 up and running again this weekend. After rebuilding the amp and lubricating the mech this juke was playing nicely but after loading a few more test records it would not play anymore. There is not a disk loaded on the turntable and it is spinning but nothing I do can get it out of this mode, I've tried all cancel and trip options but nothing helps, all fuses in amplifier are good. Now, Wurlitzers and Ami's prior to the carousel models are my weakness so I'm looking for suggestions from the great minds here. I'll be tinkering until such time as someone chimes in. Thanks again!

Ok, I think I found the problem. The switch mounted under the deck that is actuated by the record load lever (hope that's the correct name) is open in both positions. I put a jumper across it and now it seems to work as it should. So it's probably just a matter of replacing this toggle switch. Hey, gotta get lucky once in a while!

Hi Mauro, That'll do it--unless you have wall-boxes on this phono, that switch is about useless--just be sure no "pins are released" when you work on it--change records or spin the basket--you can leave it jumped. Ron Rich
