My machine currently plays a selection and when it rejects it replays the same song, however if I depress the reject lever it always rejects and resumes normal scanning to the next selection but then it won't reject properly until I hit the lever. The warped record detector seems to be free in its movement. Any suggestions?

Hi "Airpirate' What are you calling a "reject lever". Please use the terms in the manual, so we have a chance to understand. Ron Rich

Sorry, the reject switch on the service switch module.

Sorry-- that makes no sense at all, as all of the reject switches are wired in parallel ? Try sliding and holding that reject switch--see what happens ?? Ron Rich

My first statement needs clarification. When a record reaches the end the machine tries to put it back in the rack but returns it to play again. It's acting like the safety plunger is sticky. I've had this issue before so I cleaned and lubed the safety plunger but the machine keeps playing the same selection over again. If however I depress the reject switch on the service switch module the record rejects properly. I assume the safety plunger is functioning properly or I wouldn't be able to reject the record using the service switch reject switch.

Once again--makes little sense--try what I asked you to do above -- Ron Rich

In my post I mentioned that the reject switch functions fine. The player won't reject on its own after the record is played, it puts the record in the rack and the quickly reselelects the same record. It acts like the safety plunger is sticking.

You have said that at least 3 times-If you won't do as I asked, my brain sees no way to help you, as I pointed out twice--ALL (INCLUDING the one one on the mechanism, are wired in parallel !! Ron Rich

Okay sorry. So all three are wired together, fine. I get that, any suggestion why the mechanism keeps repeating?

No "bother"--just can't help, if you refuse to answer my question-- perhaps someone else will understand your problem better--I can't. Ron Rich

I mentioned that the reject switches worked fine and rejected the record. The mechanism normal reject doesn't work. I have tried all the reject switch options and they reject the record just fine. The mechanism reject under normal record play doesn't work. I thought I made that clear. I welcome anyone else's input if available. Again sorry for the confusion.
