Hi there! My name is Joe. I've owned a Wurlitzer 2300S for about 20 years, that I bought, fully loaded, and with 500 extra 45's, way back when for the bargain price of $250.00! I now realize what a steal I got. I disposed of most of the records way back, but kep a full box of the stuff I wanted. And, it sort of worked, but the record guides were busted off, so it didn't select and drop records well, and it languished. Now, I'm retired, and started fixing it up. First was the record handling stuff, and I've got that pretty well done, with new guides and lot of adjusting and cleaning. Next project will be recapping the amp and changing the equalization of both channels to match, as per HoneyJukes' recommendation. As usual for Wurly 2300's, the top left corner chrome is broken, so if anyone's got a center section NOT busted, let me know. I probably will not rechrome and do a full cosmetic restoration, but most of it's in pretty average shape. I know of nobody close to me into Jukeboxes (North Central Indiana), so I've bought and studied the manual and questioned other forums to learn what I know now. I'm also a model railroad fan, and work in HO scale, so soldering is a skill I've had for a long time. I HOPE that will serve me well when I embark on the recapping adventure! Glad to find another forum to join! Joe Berger Warsaw, Indiana
