So I gather that this item in the picture is C3 on the schematic, a 5 mfd 300 volt non polarized capacitor?
Does it need to be replaced during a recap or is it reliable?
Also, can the selenium bridge be replaced with a Silicon one without having to add a dropping resistor?
Thank you.

Eric, If you are using the stepper, you should replace that 5mfd--as for the selenium--why replace it -- I don't ?? answer is yes--but, AC should have fuse added ! Ron Rich

Thank you, I will be using a Wallbox from time to time so I’ll replace it. Any idea where to get one? Most NP Caps seem to be less than 300 volts,

Eric, If you posted where you reside, in your profile, as requested, I could tell you exactly where to go--or if you had read our FAQ's section, as requested, you would know ! Ron Rich

I replaced mine (refurbishing a M100B). I bought a WSR recap kit from TubeSound ( tubesound.com) that came with that cap, but I'm sure they'll sell it independently as well. While the recap is easy, the replacement cap is a different shape/size so doesn't fit easily into the space and you'll need to remove the old cap to get the new one in-- it's riveted to the side of the WSR so you'll need to strip off the rivets to get it out.

Phill, Guess I'm lazy--correction--I KNOW I'm lazy-- I never removed that old one after the first time ! Just find a space the new on fits in, and use Velcro, or double sided tape, with a wire tie, to hold it in-- I have plenty of the caps in stock-- Ron Rich

That's not laziness, that's efficiency!
I tried that, but I couldn't find anywhere to put the cap within the reach of the cables so had to remove the old one - drilling out the old rivets. Wasn't fun, so if you can get away with it, I would also leave the old one in place!
