Finally tried to play a 33 for the kids and it isn't lining up properly. Big hole 45s clamp and play just fine. Small hole records try to load but the pivot pin is getting stuck about 1/4" down and left of center. Which adjustment is off if the 45s are working?

Stephen, By any chance, is that mechanism equipped with a black, "PLASTIC" clamp disc ? See the Service manual--be aware that the horizontal adjustment is not in the same section as are the disc adjustments--it's in the front of the mech section. Start with the first adjustment do the 2nd one next---IF, you have properly oiled that 3rd degree lever, first. Ron Rich

No plastic clamp disc, everything is aluminum. Why would there be plastic? That seems like a bad idea. I'll check the manual and adjustments again, I just assumed that if 45s worked fine that the 33s would be lined up as well.

Stephen, You are correct-- the plastic disc WAS an awful, idea-- The "bean counters" decided it was "less expensive"-- cost them a fortune in re-calls. It did work very well, for the pivot pin, and clamp assembly, and is of no consequence as used on the disc cover--bet that what you have on yours. As for the small hole alignment--it should have been correct from the factory. It would be my guess, "someone messed with the adjustment", as once made, it ainna gonna change, by it's lonesome !
