I should know this but I don't so here I am asking again! The amplifiers in the 40's Wurlitzers do not have any terminals for hooking up extension speakers but there were so many complimentary speakers offered by Wurlitzer for their jukeboxes. Where would one connect the speaker wires to the amplifier?

The speakers were sold as a kit with a fader rheostat in a box that supposedly allowed one to balance the volume as desired while maintaining a fairly even load on the amp. You plugged that box into the amp and the machine and remote speakers into it. You could really only use one extension, but i guess you could wire them series-parallel for four speakers. It was a primitive and wasteful technique but "Wurlitzer makes it's own rules".
The annoying thing was that they kept a version of this even in their later tube amps with 70v output.

I never knew that! I have never seen or heard of this fader, thanks for enlightening me. I wonder how difficult it would be to build one? I've never seen a schematic for this. Thanks again Rob,
