I can only find one reference to it in the manual (see attach). Nothing in the rest of the manual... Attachments:

Hi Michael, Is your phono equipped with this ? I THINK, this is what WurliTzer called "the Gold Bar" on earlier models. It allows an operator the option of having a group of "pre-set" selections, by the customer pushing one button (Gold Bar), for one price. As far as I can tell, it was not too much of a success--Seeburg also did it for a couple of years--can't recall what they called it ? Ron Rich

Hmmmmm, I thought that the 'Golden Bar' played the top ten (most popular) songs on the machine for $.50? Whats referenced here seems to be pre-programmed tunes. Were the 'top-ten' a reference to the most popular tunes on the box of the 'top-ten' as in Kasey Kasem or Wolfman?

Michael, No sir-the golden bar provided what-ever music the operator wanted to be played, for a price he could set. In other words a "pre select kit". He could "set" both the number of plays offered, and the price to play them--somewhat(there were various "restrictions")-- Ron Rich
