Rock Ola Record Magazine Belt

I have acquired a Rock Ola 1478 that has been in my family since I was a kid. The record magazine belt is rotten so I have purchased a replacement. I believe I have all of the manuals but the only mention of the belt is in the parts manual, and it shows the belt going all the way around the record magazine. I don't remember the belt being visible over the magazine and suspect the main purpose of the belt is to prevent records from falling out. If that is right the belt would only be on the underside of the magazine. Is that correct?

Also, is the best way to remove the clips holding the belt roller pins with needle nose pliers? I wanted to get some feedback before messing with it.

Yes that pic is wrong or you would never get a record out the magazinr/ basket!! The belt goes under the basket touching it and continues up the side to a roller at about10 0clock where it comes down wards from the roller clear of the basket goes round the bottom roller it is now horizontal and clear of the basket goes across to the other bottom roller goes certically up clear of the basket over the roller at 2 o clock then goes back downwards touching the basket to complete the loop!!

Thanks for your help! The belt is installed and looks beautiful!
Now I need to figure out why the magazine seems to be jammed.

Hi. Does the belt go in front of or behind the small center roller?
