Since I was a child I have always wanted a Wurlitzer jukebox. I got my wish this Sunday. The person that I bought it from said that it worked fine just no records? So today I found enough to fill it, 50. Well the carousel indexes but it doesn't stop or pick up A record? There's a arm by the carousel that says load-run. When I put it on run all it does is then The carousel? I could really use help if anyone's familiar with this problem. Bobby

There are actually three positions on the selector (LOAD-OFF-RUN). LOAD will allow you to manually 'spin' the carousel to load records. OFF is a maintenance position which allows you to stop the action of the jukebox for maintenance, though there may also be a maintenance 'switch' that does basically the same thing. RUN is exactly as it seems, the normal position for running the jukebox.
Jukeboxes are VERY complex devices. I'm surprised no one has yet advised you to review ALL of the 'stickies' both here (Wurlitzer) and the General Section. There you will find information on common problems and suggestions. Then BUY A MANUAL! You will find recommendations for obtaining one in the aforementioned stickies. You will NOT get nor keep your jukebox running without one and although the assistance here is incredible you will need to speak the 'language'. Referencing that 'spinning thingy' only confuses the issue. Understanding the nomenclature will go a long way to helping them help you. Also, there is nothing like getting your hands dirty and learning how your jukebox works. The manual is THE place to start.
Good Luck!

Gentlemen,
Once again -- PLEASE, use the terms in the manual-- There are TWO "switches" on that model. Bobby is speaking of the "Load/Run switch(lever)", while Michael is speaking of the "service switch". READ your service manuals for the function (s) of each "switch" Ron Rich

Thank you for your replies. I bought a manual and downloaded it last week.I worked a lot of hours and only had a chance to glance over it. I work on machines for a living and this manual is very light on info more useful for parts numbers. I will work on my vocabulary. Thanks

I'm not terribly crazy about the Manual that I bought. I would appreciate any recommendations on a better manual? Thanks
