David, I use a Nueses brand, stylus pressure gauge. "Google it", you can usually find them used-and once properly set, you should never need to re-adjust it, so you can re-sell it ! Ron Rich Ron - Could you please post a link or picture of this gauge you use. I tried to google it - and got no results! Thanks

Sadly Ron is no longer with us! The gauge (I'm not sure of the spelling!) he is referring to was used in the "old days" mainly to adjust relays when telephone exchanges were electro mechanical and I'm not sure whether it is still available. I have seen alternatives for sale (can't remember where) - have you looked on Victory Glass?
Edit - I had a look at my one, this is it here, the N-10.

Ron Rich passed away in July of 2022.
