I've been so focused on the clutch that I hadn't noticed this before but it explains why my needles look bent.
When a B side play gets rejected the tone arm assembly moves far enough right (from front of machine) that the A needle is hitting the steel linkage. I have not done anything for adjustments on the needle except #8 for the end of record reject setting.
I'm looking at the service manual and I don't see anything that talks about this. What adjustments would be needed to fix this?

Hi Stephen, OK--so that may explain your "reject problem", earlier--a bent needle ! Unfortunately all "aftermarket brand " needles, I have seen, stick too far out of the plastic housings--you may want to complain to the seller of them ! What are you calling the "steel linkage"--PLEASE use the names in the Parts Manual, for clarity --If you do not have one--point it out on the page # of the service manual you see it on. Ron Rich

_Sorry Ron, I couldn't find it in the parts manual until just now. Brush arm link. When the record ejects the yellow part of the stylus is hitting it. Here is a picture. The parts catalog shows this piece broken in two parts so I kept skipping over it not realizing what it was. |The needles always come from needles4jukeboxes as recommended. It's not the needle that is the issue I'm thinking, the entire tone arm is too far over after reject. Stephen
