jbm micro switch issue

can anybody help with this issue , when record has finished playing ton moves back slightly then stops , I have to press the cancel button to activate the record  return back into the carosel.I have checked adjustment on micro switch 3 , but it seems ok what else could it be

Hi Phil,
Did you check the Micro Switch itself ?? From what I can understand of what you wrote, whatever "carries over" the cancel pulse is not doing so.
I am GUESSING that you have the manual and see that switch, as the carry over switch ?

Check the reed switch under the back of the tone arm and the magnet that is mounted on the tone arm. BE CAREFUL not to break the glass reed switch as they can easily be broken. It may just need a slight adjustment.

That reed switch STARTS the process of canceling the record but should open the second the tone arm is lifted-and the swing is started--so it's doing just as it should. Ron Rich
