Hello, first post now :-)
After LOTS of fun work with my m100B im starting to see the end of the project :-)
if i understand everything right the speaker for this modell is an 15" Jensen 5600 ohm speaker, im looking for a one like that (Box is missing speaker), or is it a new made speaker that could go instead of that ?, could i use a ordinary 15" with a kind of resitor on it?
Best Regards
Patrik

While I'm not familiar with an M100B, just an observation with saying the speaker is 5600 ohm makes me think that the machine uses an electrodynamic speaker. The 5600 ohms probably refers to the "field coil" on the speaker which is typically used in older tube equipment to develop the magnetic field for the speaker itself and to serve as a "choke" for filtering the power supply. If that's the case then you could substitute a high wattage resistor on the connections where the field coil would have been connected and use a conventional permanent magnet speaker at that point. May get a little more hum from the amp without the filtering which would have been provided by the field coil, but others familiar with the amp would be better to advise on that and say to use a choke coil of sorts in lieu of the resistor.

Hi Guy's, Yes, Seeburg used a field coil speaker thru the G/W (MRA-4 Amps.) models-- Resistance was 5.6k on all from the A on. Voice coil was 8 ohms. Patrik,--L@ k at our FAQ's section for a supplier near you--you may find an original, used speaker. If not, yes, a (Minimum, 25 watt) resistor, MOUNTED where it won't start a fire, can be used.
