I've wanted to own a jukebox for years, and I'm finally looking at a Rock-Ola 470 that needs some restoration. I have a question about the carousel on this model (and likely similar models).
There's a metal strip along the bottom of the carousel. I think it stops the records from falling out the bottom, because it doesn't look like they're held in otherwise. Is this correct? Does the strip cause any noticeable damage to the records as they slide along it? Maybe not the first time, but after weeks/months/years has anyone noticed the edges eroding?
