My Seeburg 100R came to me without the two midrange 8" speakers on the left and right sides. I am looking for a suitable modern equivalent that will give good midrange response. Has anyone found a good substitute?
Thanks, Rick

I spoke with Denny at Victory Glass while placing an order for a pinbank section and a tonearm pressure spring set. He didn't have any 8" speakers in stock. He did point me to Rick Murray. I will check with him later today.
I checked the FAQ page and didn't see any other OEM vendors. Any suggestions for other OEM dealers?
Rick

Hi Rick, Seeburg went out of business in Sept 1979-- where would you find "OEM" vendors for them today ? The FAQ's list many suppliers,,any one of which may have used model R, 8 inch speakers in stock -- just gotta check -- Ron Rich I am very aware Seeburg is no longer in business.
You are asking a question I am trying to get answered. I do know the differences between "OEM" (original equipment manufacturer), "NOS" (new old stock/never sold or used), and new manufactured parts (reproduction or suitable substitute). I am not after NOS as I know NOS parts are as rare as hen teeth and akin to Bigfoot/Yeti/Sasquatch sightings. There are new manufacture speakers out there, but they may or may not share the same characteristics as OEM. When I refer to OEM, I am referring to parts salvaged from parts queens or basket case jukeboxes. I'll start referring to OEM as salvaged parts from this point forward.
I did go down the FAQ list of vendors looking for suppliers who offer salvaged parts. Unfortunately, most of the FAQ list consists of services, books, needles, or other reproduction items. There is only one listed that does offer salvaged parts and that is Victory Glass. The list was originally posted December 2016 and it could possibly use some updating.
What I am looking for are businesses that the Forum users have previously dealt with that salvage Seeburg jukeboxes and offer the salvaged parts for sale. If any of you know of jukebox salvage businesses that you have had good results with, please chime in. These could possibly be added to the sticky as an update as I know I am not the only one seeking replacement parts.
Thanks, Rick
